Audio Conferencing Software

OnLive! Technologies, in conjunction with DataBeam Corporation, recently announced the availability of LiveMeeting Suite(TM), the first T.120 standards-based solution to enable large audio conferencing software with Microsoft's NetMeeting 2.0. OnLive!, the first company to introduce large group voice communication to the Internet, also announced recently the availability of the Audio Conferencing Server. This server software uses the industry standard H.323 audio codec and supports moderated large group audio conferencing over the Internet and corporate intranets.

Industry Standards

Based on the T.120 industry standard for data, LiveMeeting Suite extends T.120 standards-based clients, such as Microsoft NetMeeting, Intel ProShare(R) and DataBeam FarSite(R) to enable large group audio and data conferencing. Currently, these products provide support for only a handful of users at a time, while LiveMeeting Suite enables large groups of users to simultaneously talk and interact while viewing and editing documents in real time.

The Audio Conferencing Server uses the industry standard H.323 audio codec (G.723), technology that provides toll quality audio over corporate intranets as well as the Internet. In addition, the server enables fully-moderated, live voice conferences for groups of up to 225 people. LiveMeeting Suite

LiveMeeting Suite is a software-only solution that utilizes DataBeam's neT.120(TM) Conference Server and OnLive!'s audio conferencing products to deliver integrated voice and data conferencing. LiveMeeting Suite allows large groups to participate in voice conferences while simultaneously sharing and editing documents.

The product has been specifically designed to enable high quality audio and data transmissions while minimizing bandwidth consumption. LiveMeeting Suite supports Microsoft NetMeeting or other T.120 standards-based clients for data sharing in conjunction with OnLive!'s scalable audio conferencing technology. This server suite supports up to 100 users in multiple large group conferences. Business applications range from workgroup collaboration to corporate training and distance learning.
