Audio Conferencing Services

Online Audio Service Solution

OnLive! Technologies, Inc., the first company to introduce audio conferencing services to the Internet, recently announced that it will implement the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) H.323 standard as part of its support for Microsoft NetMeeting 2.0. OnLive! will deliver an audio conferencing server product that will enhance overall collaboration and conferencing capabilities of NetMeeting 2.0 by enabling companies to host large group voice conferences on a Web site or corporate intranet. This announcement represents OnLive! Technologies' commitment to making its entire product line audio standards compliant.

NetMeeting 2.0 provides organizations with a software-based solution for real-time conferencing and collaboration on a business-ready platform. It is the first product in the industry to combine support for both the H.323 and T.120 standards in a widely available client, and is expected to act as a catalyst that will spur industry and market growth, especially around the newly emerging audio standards.

The ITU H.323 standard addresses audio conferencing over the Internet or a corporate intranet. OnLive!'s audio conferencing server will support Microsoft NetMeeting 2.0 to allow large groups of people to communicate with their voices while sharing data over the Internet or a corporate intranet. The current OnLive! product is the only server software on the market today that enables as many as 100 people to participate in real-time group voice communications.

"OnLive!'s support for the newest version of NetMeeting represents our solid commitment to join the leading industry vendors that have announced intent to build and deliver products based on the H.323 standard," said the Chief Executive Officer of OnLive! Technologies. "Our move in supporting standards ensures customers of interoperability between solutions from different vendors on different platforms."

"We are excited about the prospect of Web-based conferencing based on emerging standards and feel it will offer solutions for a number of business needs," said the vice president, Internet client and collaboration division, Microsoft. "Our relationship with OnLive! Technologies are evidence that leaders of the industry are working together for the single purpose of bringing standards-based, real-time communications, conferencing, and collaboration capabilities to customers for use on the Internet and corporate intranets."
